Associations gather enterprises in accordance to the branches of activities closely related in activities, and their main activity is articulating the needs and problems in various trade matters. Associations of the Regional Chamber of Commerce Nis are divided into the following branches:

• for energetic, metal and electro industry
• for civil engineering, industry of construction materials, housing economy and communal activities
• for agriculture, food and tobacco industry and waterpower engineering
• for forestry, lumber, cellulose and paper industry
• for graphical industry, newspaper and publishing activities
• for industries of textile, clothes, leather and shoes
• for trade, hotel management, transportation and tourism
• for informatics and telecommunication traffic
• for chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber industry, mines and non metal industry
• Association of entrepreneurs and craftsmen
  

Activities and tasks of the association are:

• monitoring and analysis of economic development in certain sectors of economy and suggesting the measures for improving working conditions and business dealings of all its members
• discussing and advising on drafts and proposals of laws and other regulations in the field of economic system, economic policy and development referring to their influence to the conditions of business dealings as well as the development of certain economy sectors
• cooperation in preparing the of measures of economic policies and strategy of development related to the association’s activities
• activities of business associating of economic subjects and encouraging cooperation in country and with foreign partners
• offering assistance for determining the exchange of goods, assortment and product quality
• keeping up with the latest worldwide achievements in the field of technical- technological development in specific sectors of economy and their application in country 
• application of international technical standards and norms
• cooperation in compiling energetic and financial balances
• discussing and proposing the measures for uniform regulating of working conditions and business dealings of large technical- technological systems in the field of economy infrastructure 
• participating in the compiling of mechanisms for protecting the domestic market
• giving initiative and proposing the measures for eliminating monopoly on the domestic market
