Associations of Trade, Hotel Management, Transportation and Tourism

Trade has an important role in the overall economic development, considering the relevant part it has in public production and employment.

Goals and directions of trade development are the following:

• international market inclusion,
• modernization of wholesale and retail trade capacities
• training the personnel and innovating their knowledge,
• creating possibilities for large companies’ investments in the area of the three districts.

Geographical position, i.e. highway crossing of E-7 and E-10 enables the traffic to become a significant branch and basis for further development. Railway, highway and air traffic is included.

International, inter- places, city and suburb passenger transportation system operates in passengers traffic.

Transportation of various types of loads and freight in freight road traffic. 

Railway junction Nis is the largest in Serbia.

International airport Nis has large potential for realization of passengers and cargo transport because it has an adequate infrastructure which satisfies international standards.

Tourism and restaurant management have joint potentials based on geographical position, natural conditions and existing infrastructure.

The territory of the three districts has 5 spas (Prolom Spa, Kursumlijska Spa, Lukovska Spa, Zvonacka Spa, Niska Spa), variety of scenery (Sicevacka Gorge, Jelasicka Gorge, Davolja varos, Cerjanska Cave), large number of monasteries and churches, historic excavation sites (Mediana, Romuliana, The Scull Tower, Fortresses in Nis and Pirot).

Number of restaurants with national dishes and authentic atmosphere contribute to the development of tourism and restaurant management.
